Effective Altruism Retreat
Around 15 EAers from Australia came to Sydney for the week to talk about EA stuff.
Birthday Party
Me and a friend had a joint birthday party. We ate at Encasa and then went to karaoke.
Project Lunch
Had a project lunch with about 20 people. We all went to Watsons Bay and ate at a restaurant near to the beach.
Family Birthday at De Bortoli and Yarra Valley
Went to Yarra Valley with the family to celebrate my and my mum’s birthday. We bought “The Noble One”, a dessert wine which has won awards.
High School “Reunion”
Visited an old English teacher from MGS with some of my co-graduates. It was fun to catch up!
What I’ve been reading/watching/hearing:
- I’ve started to listen to fewer podcasts so that I can have more headspace
- God Help the Girl (song) – It turns out the singer from Belle and Sebastian (a band) recently produced a movie and the soundtrack
- Arrival (film) – When I went to the cinema it was a bit blurry, which ruined the first quarter of the movie. Story was alright.
