Edition 9 Week 12
Climbed the Blue Mountains
Went to the Blue Mountains and did the Wentworth trail. It was perfect weather for it, and we managed to walk the 3-5 hour trail in 2.5 hours. Here is a selfie and a waterfall. Shout out to WordPress for automattic (badum-ch) layout.
Trip to Melbourne
Caught up with many people from Melbourne. Won’t detail everyone because it’s both uninteresting and probably someone people want it to be private. Recommended eats, however:
- Nishikian serves great Japanese food. Lots of sashimi, but many other dishes. Yum yum yum.
- Vapiano moderately priced Italian food. Already popular in Sydney, although there’s probably some small Italian restaurant on Lygon with better value per $.
- 8 Days mainly brunch food
ANZAC Day Holiday Planning
Does anyone know where I could go for ANZAC Day? Was thinking either NT or road trip in VIC.
PSA: Google knows where you are even if your location settings are off
For example, Google knows about my trip yesterday:

Check “Your timeline” in Google Maps.
I’m creating a new page called “What the World Needs Now“
I’ll update this infrequently with things I think would make the world better, were in charge of everything. It’s a page that’s open to criticism and suggestion.
What I’m Reading/Watching/Listening
- My Big Fat Greek Wedding (film) – It’s a great film! It’s direction grasps at the zeitgeist of a whole generation of non-Anglo, Western-born children! The artistic merits far outweigh any of your judgement.
- My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2 (film) – See above.
- Deep Work (book) – About the importance of being able to deeply focus free from distractions, in order to get high-intensiy periods of learning/creating. Also, it’s short.
